Who is John Bramley

Born in 1950 in Wales and the living in the UK before moving to US in 1990 my musical tastes and interests are shaped by both time and place. I started playing guitar in my early teens and started learning and listening to folk music – Seeger, Paxton, Peter Paul and Mary, Dylan etc. Then as a guitarist I was influenced by Hank Marvin and his incredible guitar sound and then by the tidal wave of the Animals, Stones, Beatles, Kinks of the 60s. Then through Fleetwood Mac, Stones, Van Morrison started to discover the original performers of the songs they were performing. Muddy Waters, Son House Johnson etc.

As I returned to playing guitar and singing after retiring from University career I became much more into Americana and country music and you see that in my recordings and performing. Guy Clark, Rodney Crowell, Kris Kristofferson, Townes Van Zandt, Rosanne Cash and so on. Thanks for visiting and reading and enjoy.
